Don Schmitt has devoted twenty years of his life to researching the 1947 UFO incident at Roswell, New Mexico. When the Secretary of the Air Force under President Bill Clinton freed Air Force personnel from secrecy about the event, Schmitt went to work with another long-time researcher Tom Carey, putting together over 600 interviews. Deathbed confessions and direct interviews produced many of the same stories of unearthly materials that definitely were not from weather balloons. Schmitt says that Roswell could not have been merely the misidentification of a rather mundane object because too much attention has been paid to the event for it to have been something earthly and ordinary.
