podOmatic

I don't really have any plans to podcast, but I did sign up for podOmatic the other day. Mostly as a promotion site for this blog, to meet new people and to find some new shows. Honestly, I had forgot how hard it is to attract people to a new blog. The Debris Field has been around for well over two years so it has built up to a good amount of visitors, sure there could always be more, but it does well. My other blogs are done more for my own enjoyment, rather than to attract visitors and I haven't really tried to increase their stats. Although, I do know if you update often and have a useful blog the people will come, it just takes a while for them to find you.
I have been enjoying podOmatic, it is kind of like a myspace site for people interested in podcasting. You get to add friends and leave messages, yeah, very much like myspace. Other than paranormal related talk there seems to be some good music and other interesting shows. Not that I have much time for anything that isn't related to the paranormal, but every once in a while it is fun to check out something different.
